On February 10th 27 9th and 10th graders competed in the AMC 10
contest and 25 11th and 12th graders competed in the AMC 12
contest. No calculators are allowed on this test. The AMC 12
results are in 6th place Alan Nelson, 5th place Kayla Korb, 4th
place Levi Ochsner, 3rd place Sam Overturf, and 2nd place Nate
Green. Earning the coveted math pin after coming in 2nd last year
is senior Taylor Schlautman. Congratulations!!
The results for the hotly contested AMC 10 contest are 6th place Tyler Keenan, 5th place Jamie Van Kirk, 4th place Michael Cox, 3rd place Megan Korb and for the first time in AMC10 history there is a tie for first place. Nels Johnson and Lauren Simonsen both receive the coveted math pin. However, Nels receives an even more coveted pin since he also won the prize last year. Congratulations!!!!
Tune in next year same math time; same math channel to see if Nels continues his string or will Lauren start one of her own or will a new face surface to capture the prizeā¦. Only two students 9-12 have won the coveted math pin 3 times and no one has won all 4 years.
