Classroom Standards

Classroom Standards 2007-2008 Spanish 1 Mr. Wolzen 

1. Grading policy A) 2/3 of the grade from tests and quizzes 

                          B) 1/3 of the grade from daily work, class participation, attentiveness, etc.

 2. Come to class prepared: 

          A) With all material necessary (text, paper, pen/pencil, dictionary, notes, etc.) 

           B) With a positive attitude and a willingness to participate

3. Be respectful of others and their property. Do NOT distract someone else from their learning.  4. Fire, Tornado, Lock-Down drills – see signs by door.

 5. Student planner/passbook If you don’t have it, you don’t go!!! 

6. Textbooks: A) don’t abuse them.

               B) You can access some info on the web: go.hrw.com keyword: exp(1) ch(chapter #)

 7. Other items:

       A) Seating arrangements (we’ll do LOTS of partner work)

        B) Late/missing assignments 

        C) Make-up work (see student handbook for details) 

        D) Substitute teachers 

        E) Ineligibility

        F) 1st period food/drink 

        G) Cultural “show-and-tell” 

        H) Spanish dictionary 

         I) Projects/special assignments

         J) Dictionary check-out (sign when taking out of this room) 

8. Detentions (DL) – [Automatic DLs – sleeping, disruptive talking, coming to class         unprepared, being disrespect in any way!]
