The 1st semester is history and also life science standards testing for the 7th Life Science Classes and the 10th Biology Classes. Each student is given a series of 6 tests covering 6 different areas of 7th Life Science and 10th Biology. The results are sent to federal and state education departments at a later date.
Each student is tested and rated as Beginning(1), Improving(2), Proficient(3) and Advanced(4). The goal is for each student to become Proficient or Advanced. The results cannot be published until the reports are submitted to the state and federal agencies but Sutton students have done well.
