One Shot Parabolas

One Shot Parabola -- Advanced Algebra students had to find the equation for the path the ball took coming out of the chute.
They then had one chance to calculate exactly where to place the target. The ball would either land in the cup for an âAâ or land somewhere else for an âFâ.
It was a high stakes learning experiment involving some heated debate and collaboration.
Did they make it??? Ask them.
