Once every month a group of us fellow 4-Hers meet at the 4H building at the fair ground. There we meet Mrs. Jenny Rees the local 4H extension educator. She teaches us what to look for in our crops, like different disease, insects, and different types of crop damage from weather.  She teaches us the different ways to prevent or fix it. In other meetings we calculated about how many corn and bean plants there were in a field. The group get young kids involved in agriculture and maybe from this experience they will get a career out of it.  In some of the meeting we study different weeds, where they come from, and how to prevent them. In August there is a competition that the Nebraska University puts on that we compete in and if you make in to the top 2 you get to go to nationals. Being in 4-H you meet so many people that become life long friends! 4-H is a GREAT!! experience that every family should do.!!
