
One Shot Parabola -- Advanced Algebra students had to find the
equation for the path the ball took coming out of the chute.
They then had one chance to calculate exactly where to place the
target. The ball would either land in the cup for an “A” or land
somewhere else for an “F”.
It was a high stakes learning experiment involving some heated
debate and collaboration.

Qualify for state meet

The Sutton Golf team was able to block out the conditions
Monday, and become the first team to ever qualify for the state
golf meet in school history. The Mustangs came out and were tied
for the lead three ways after the first nine holes with HTRS and
Lincoln Lutheran, with Fillmore Central 5-shots behind. They were

many authors, and in May we are learning about Eric Carle. We are
reading numerous books and having fun snacks. After reading "Walter
the Baker," we will make our own homemade pretzels. We will then
conclude with reading "Pancakes, Pancakes," while wearing pajamas
